Régis Vergez has been named Head of Financial and Non-Financial Performance. This scope includes the Group tax, accounting, actuarial, and accounting and non-financial standards departments. He was previously Chief Accounting Officer and is replaced in this position by Sébastien Gilles.

Stéphane Le Mer has been named Head of Financial and Non-Financial Steering. This scope includes the operational transformation department with the Datalab, the actuarial centre of expertise, the group steering department and the group sustainability department.

As Deputy Chief Financial and Non-Financial Officers, Régis Vergez and Stéphane Le Mer report directly to Thomas Béhar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Group Chief Financial and Non-Financial Officer of CNP Assurances. 

Biographies

Régis Vergez is a graduate of the École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Informatique et Génie des Télécommunications, and holds a diploma in accounting and finance from CNAM. After working in advisory and auditing in the banking and insurance sector at Ernst & Young, he joined Allianz Group in 2009 to lead the transformation programme for the finance department, before being appointed head of investment accounting and the middle office. In 2015, he became head of Accounts for Property & Casualty Insurance & the Holding Company at Allianz Group in France, and of the Property & Casualty Co-insurance Back Office. He was also head of the IFRS 17 Life and Non-Life project for Allianz France, before becoming Group Chief Accounting Officer of CNP Assurances in 2020.

Stéphane Le Mer is an Engineer from the Ecole Centrale Paris, a graduate in actuarial studies from Université Paris-Dauphine and a member of the Institute of Actuaries. He began his career in advisory at Deloitte in 2010, before joining CNP Assurances in 2014 in the group risk department. He was a risk analyst and head of the prudential department in 2016, before being appointed head of strategic risk and capital management in 2021. From 2022, he was Head of Management and Performance.

Sébastien Gilles holds degrees from the École Polytechnique and ENSAE ParisTech and is a certified member of the French Institute of Actuaries. He is also a chief engineer with a diploma from the Ecole des Mines. 
He began his career at the ACPR, where he worked for seven years as an insurance supervisor, then as deputy head of the unit responsible for European and foreign insurers. In 2019, he joined CNP Assurances as project manager reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, then in 2021 became head of the group actuarial function and Finance programmes; his achievements include managing the IFRS 17 and CSRD projects. He also teaches actuarial science at the French Centre for Actuarial Studies.
