Since its beginnings, CNP Assurances has developed insurance solutions that respond to changes in society, from longer life expectancy and the transformation of social protection systems to, more recently, the emergence of new environmental and climate risks.
Being a responsible insurer means combining two complementary dimensions to our approach: sustainability and inclusiveness.
A sustainable insurer
As a signatory in 2020 of the United Nations Principles for Sustainable Insurance, CNP Assurances incorporates environmental, social and governance issues at the heart of its activities.
Our group designs solutions that contribute to the prevention of risks and the adaptation of people and property to the effects of climate change.
In addition to risk coverage, we mobilise our customers’ savings, particularly in life insurance, to finance the environmental and social transition. We contribute to financinga resilient andlower-emissions economy by gradually directing investments towards sustainable assets, including low-carbon infrastructure, responsible real estate, and engaged companies.
Our products and services support environmental and social transitions while strengthening, over time, the resilience of its policyholders and the economies in which our group operates.
An inclusive insurer
CNP Assurances makes insurance accessible to as many people as possible, and particularly those with limited access to it.
We create simple products and services adapted to life situations to combat financial exclusion and under‑insurance. We rely on the pooling of risks and innovative systems.
Our commitment to financial education
We are convinced that financial education is essential to autonomy, inclusion and sustainable protection. Understanding one’s budget, preparing for the vagaries of life and making informed insurance choices are skills that secure life courses.
This conviction is based on the observation that many citizens feel unable to fully grasp the complexities of financial and insurance products. Making these subjects understandable is central to our mission as a responsible insurer.
We take concrete action in partnership with Fédération Crésus and fund the “Dilemme” education programmes. Between 2023 and 2025, awareness-raising sessions on budget management were organised for 39,000 people in situations of budgetary fragility or over-indebtedness. These entertaining workshops address a range of concepts, from budgets and savings to protection, and provide guidelines that are useful on a daily basis.
In Brazil, we also support several financial education programmes run by Instituto CNP, which have already benefited more than 650,000 people. Among them, the “Meu Caminho” (“My Path”) programme supports young people in vulnerable situations throughout their schooling with a view to fostering their autonomy and accesstohigher education.
In addition, the “Saldo+ ”developed in partnership with CAIXA aims to implement innovative training courses on a large scale, the target being to reach up to one million students in public schools.
Simplify insurance and improve the customer experience
In addition to this targeted support, we are helping to disseminate broadly accessible practices to help people learn how to save, better understand their financial capacity, and adopt simple but sustainable budgetary practices.
Our commitment extends to education on insurance. Because insurance policies are often perceived as complex, we are developing tools and plain-language content to enable everyone to understand their cover and make informed choices.
This focus on clarity and simplicity is part of our overarching approach to improving the customer experience, in particular by reducing the effort required to access information and manage policies.
Our work in France and abroad, particularly with young people and the most vulnerable groups, is helping to forge a more serene relationship with money.
Responsibility is central to the business activity of CNP Assurances, which pays constant attention to service quality, the transparency of its products and services, and the protection of its customers’ interests.
