CNP Assurances is committed to preventing violations of human rights, the health and safety of people and the environment, both in its business activities and value chain.

As part of its duty of care, our Group maps the impacts and risks relating to these issues. This mapping concerns our own business activities and those of our business partners and suppliers, as well as the indirect impacts linked to our investment decisions.

It serves to identify, analyse and prioritise risks, based on international standards and the contributions of our various entities. Updated annually, this mapping is presented to the governance bodies, including the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.

CNP Assurances is also part of the duty of care system of the La Poste group, of which it is a subsidiary, and contributes to its duty of care plan. The latter is based on a structured framework encompassing:

  • risk mapping,
  • procedures for assessing subsidiaries, suppliers and partners,
  • prevention and mitigation measures,
  • a whistleblowing system accessible to stakeholders,
  • and a system for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the measures implemented.

In particular, our due diligence mechanisms cover supplier relationships, M&A transactions, and investment activities. They are rolled out to prevent and mitigate potential negative impacts throughout the value chain.

These mechanisms are described in detail in the Group’s Sustainability Statement.
