At CNP Assurances, purchasing is a key driver of sustainable performance and value creation.

Our Group incorporates environmental, social and ethical criteria at each stage of the purchasing cycle, from the selection of suppliers to the long-term monitoring of the relationship.

This approach is reflected in calls for tenders and supplier assessments, in particular through the use of external tools such as EcoVadis. These resources make it possible to assess the level of maturity of suppliers and inform decision-making.

We also apply exclusion rules governing our business relationships. These rules concern:

  • countries posing serious risks in terms of democracy, human rights or corruption,
  • companies failing to respect the fundamental principles of the United Nations Global Compact.

A continuous improvement approach with our suppliers

Our Group has adopted a recognised approach, having obtained the “Relations fournisseurs et achats responsables” label (responsible supplier relations and purchasing). This label recognises the Group’s practices aimed at guaranteeing a balanced and responsible relationship with its partners.

Supplier relations are based on commitments formalised in a Responsible Supplier Charter. This document sets out guidelines on the respect for human rights, working conditions, the environment, and business ethics.

As part of our duty of care, we are also rolling out assessment, dialogue and continuous improvement systems with our suppliers to prevent risks and contribute to a more responsible value chain.
