CNP Assurances has obtained the approval of the ACPR*  to create its FRPS (Supplementary Occupational Pension Fund): CNP Retraite, and transfer its eligible portfolio. This new subsidiary will support the Group's ambitions on the supplementary pension market boosted by the PACTE law.

Member of the major public financial centre and leading pension player, CNP Assurances achieves a new milestone in the deployment of its ambition on the supplementary pension market, at the heart of current demographic and social challenges.

CNP Retraite will support more than 1 million policyholders in their preparation for retirement and in the payment of their annuity. With a regulatory and prudential framework adapted to the management of long-term commitments, CNP Retraite will offer protective, efficient and sustainable solutions, notably individual and collective pension savings plans, for the benefit of employees, the self-employed and civil servants for their supplementary pensions. CNP Retraite also reinsures the portfolio of ARIAL CNP ASSURANCES, the joint subsidiary of CNP Assurances and AG2R LA MONDIALE, which has also recently obtained the approval of the ACPR with a view to its transformation into a FRPS.

The creation of CNP Retraite is accompanied by the regulatory transfer of the pension commitments currently in CNP Assurances’ balance sheet for a total of €27.8 billion in net book value at 1 January 2022.

The cover ratio of the RSM (Required Solvency Margin) of 396% on 1 January 2022 reflects the financial strength of CNP Retraite, its ability to meet its commitments and serve the interests of its customers over the long term.

"The ACPR’s approval of the implementation of our FRPS ratifies the creation of CNP Retraite. This new subsidiary is a major vehicle for our Group's ambitions to pursue and accelerate its development on the supplementary pension market in France, in line with our role in supporting longer life expectancy and as close as possible to the expectations of our customers." said Thomas Chardonnel, Director of the France partnerships and the Amétis network business unit of CNP Assurances.
