Fondation CNP Assurances, committed to public healthcare and the wellbeing of young people, and Pépinière d’Avenirs, a association dedicated to social innovation for children and young people in care, are joining forces to launch a Call for Expression of Interest (CEI). The aim is to identify and accelerate projects dedicated to improving early identification and intervention in the mental health of children and young people in the care of child protection services.
Children and young people in the care of child protection services have significant healthcare needs. Data shows that 45% of them have been victims of abuse (Frechon and Robette, 2013), 49% suffer from mental health conditions (HAS, 2021) and 24% have a disability (CNAPE and Unapei, 2024).
In light of this, Fondation CNP Assurances and Pépinière d’Avenirs want to support initiatives that promote better identification of mental health conditions and earlier support for children and young people in care.
Promoting collaboration between child protection services and healthcare providers
Led by Pépinière d’Avenirs, for whom the health of children in care is a key priority, the CEI is open to private, non-profit organisations of general interest eligible for corporate sponsorship, as well as to consortia comprising healthcare organisations, public institutions and stakeholders from the social and solidarity economy.
Projects must be based on a collaborative approach between the child protection and healthcare sectors. Particular attention will be paid to the relevance of the assessment, the expected social impact, the quality of the partnerships, the feasibility of the proposed actions, and their potential for development and replication.
Beneficiaries must be actively involved in the various stages of the projects, from their design through to their evaluation.
