This, the beginning of the 2019 sports season, sees the teams in the Stade Français triathlon section wearing the colours of CNP Assurances.

Through the support of CNP Assurances, Stade Français will continue to develop its triathlon centre of excellence, a pioneer in the field when it came into being in the 1980s. The triathlon combines three disciplines: swimming, cycling and running, which follow one after the other in this order with no allowance for any rest time. This all-round sport is practised over various distances depending on the levels, targets and abilities of the participants.

The triathlon is seeing increasing success with 894 clubs and 54,839 members in 2018 against respectively 758 and 42,321 in 2014. An Olympic discipline since the 2000 Games in Sydney, it is attracting a growing proportion of women: there were 4,000 female triathletes in 2005 and 14,300 in 2018.

The current triathlon section at Stade Français counts 370 triathletes, including 100 youngsters aged between 7 and 18. It offers training specially adapted to young people and holds the French Triathlon Federation’s “trainer club” label. Whether during meetings, training with triathletes or sponsored races... CNP Assurances staff will be fully involved in the various events sharing and spreading the individual and collective values of excellence espoused by the Stade Français triathlon section.

"As the No. 1 in personal insurance in France, CNP Assurances shares the same human values as the Stade Français triathlon team, striving to be the best and showing solidarity and respect for others. By becoming the official partner of this team, we are delighted to support its ambitions and enable our employees to train alongside the team members, sharing in their quest for excellence and performance" says Agathe Sanson, Director of Strategic Marketing, Sponsorship and Communication at CNP Assurances.
