Paris, March 22, 2016

Leading shareholder of CNP Assurances, Caisse des Dépôts won the prize for the best green investment strategy on March 17th at the 12th annual Forum GI awards for major European investors and asset management companies.

By awarding this prize, the members of the jury have acknowledged the strong commitments towards “decarbonising” listed equity portfolios undertaken by Caisse des Dépôts, which set a target along with the whole CDC Group, including CNP Assurances, to reduce its carbon footprint in its directly-held portfolios by 20% from 2014 to 2020. Forum GI also recognised the financial contribution towards energy transition by Caisse des Dépôts.

Alongside Caisse des Dépôts, all of the Group’s subsidiaries are highly motivated by green investment strategies.

Further to its commitment to decarbonise its directly-held equity portfolios, CNP Assurances, a key player in energy transition, is also a signatory to the energy efficiency charter for tertiary buildings. The company has pledged to reduce energy consumption among its property assets by more than 20% by 2020 and double its green investments to EUR 1.6 billion in 2017.
