Maximiliano Villanueva, an Argentinian national, holds a degree in Accounting from the National University of La Plata (Argentina) and an MBA in Business Management from Ibmec (Brazil).
After working in major audit groups (PWC) in insurance and banking, he joined CNP Assurances Group in 2001. He has held finance roles (Chief Financial Officer/Financial Controller) in the Argentine, Chinese, Cypriot, Greek and finally Brazilian subsidiaries since 2011.
Until September 2023, he was CEO of Caixa Consorcio. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNP Seguros in Argentina and a member of the Board of Directors of several companies of the CNP Assurances Group in Brazil (Caixa Vida e Prêvidencia (CVP), CNP Seguros Holding Brasil, Caixa Seguradora and Caixa Consorcio).
He is a member of CCEF Brazil (French Foreign Trade Adviser) and the Executive Board of Brazil’s national insurance confederation, CNSeg.
In September 2023, he was appointed Director of the Latin America Business Unit of CNP Assurances - which became the Latin America Division in March 2026 – and a member of the CNP Assurances Executive Committee.
