Open innovation: the key to a successful digital transformation

Contrary to what the forecasters tell us, the digital transformation won't happen overnight.

At CNP Assurances, we believe our preparations for this world-changing "comet" will only succeed if we are first able to create the conditions for success internally. For us, it's a matter of gradually increasing employees' familiarity with digital culture while also bringing them on board with the company's strategy.

We think open innovation is the best way to support and accelerate this transformative process within the company. First, and it goes without saying, this approach allows us to test out and share best practices. Second, on a practical level, it lets us develop projects designed to improve our operations, service offers, and customer satisfaction! J

Over the past several years, we've given employees the opportunity to immerse themselves in agile and innovative start-ups through @EnModeUp. The resulting culture shock has led to the development of innovative intra-preneurial projects for the company, such as: CAPLOC

This initial experiment validated our belief that encouraging participative innovation at every level of the company by breaking down barriers and disregarding the traditional power structure is the best way to upskill our workforce.

That's why we decided to launch our very first participative innovation challenge last year with respect to improving customer satisfaction.
