Paris, 18 July 2017
On 8 July 2017, Fondation CNP Assurances and Mairie de Paris began offering free first-aid training at Paris-Plages.
Training sessions will be offered three days a week through 3 September. Over the course of these nine weeks, more than 2,000 people will learn simple measures that can mean the difference between life and death.
The sessions are open to the public and led by Protection Civile de Paris and the Croix-Rouge. Topics covered include: caring for a person who is unconscious, preventing a friend from asphyxiating, applying bandages, performing CPR, operating a defibrillator, and more.
The training sessions are offered at two locations—one on the right bank, and one on the left. To take advantage of this opportunity, register now at the site of your choice:
- Rive de Seine site
- Bassin de la Villette site
This effort is a top priority for Fondation CNP Assurances, which works with local authorities to install defibrillators and raise public awareness about first-aid measures throughout the year. Since 2009, the organisation has funded the installation of 3,500 defibrillators, as well as training on their use, in more than 2,200 local communities.
