CNP Assurances today announced that Mikaël Cohen has been appointed Investment Director, replacing Olivier Mareuse, who has joined Caisse des Dépôts as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to the appointment, Mr. Cohen had been the Finance Manager for Savings Funds at Caisse des Dépôts since 2006.

Mr. Cohen, 47, spent a large part of his career at Caisse des Dépôts, where he held various positions including head of the Savings Fund Portfolio Management department from 1999, head of Asset/Liability Management from 1995 and Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Caisse Autonome de Refinancement from 1992. He began his career in 1988 in the economic research department of French electric utility EDF.

Mr. Cohen is a graduate of Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE) and the French Institute of Actuaries (IAF) and also has a Master’s degree in information technology from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST).
